How’s The Water Quality In Your Area? Catchment Summaries Published

Summary booklets are now available online for each of the Waters of LIFE demonstration sub-catchments.

The eight-page catchment summaries were first given to local communities at a series of drop-in consultations in August 2024. Attendees at the five public meetings in September 2024 also received a copy.

The booklets were produced with the support of the National Adult Learning Agency (NALA) who provided guidance on a plain english approach to scientific information.

Each demonstration sub-catchment has its own summary including:

  • Bespoke map of sub-catchment
  • Information about local area including population and land use
  • Summary of water quality
  • EPA status, objective and risk
  • Issues and Pressures identified in LAWPRO local catchment assessments
  • Further information
  • Project information
